What is harmful about protein deficiency and how does it relate to overweight disorders?

Question:

What is harmful about protein deficiency and how does it relate to overweight disorders?

Answer:

Protein health is the most fundamental aspect of body health.  Each human being has approximately 25,000 proteins, which may be described as the essential “working units” of the body.  Without these essential molecules (enzymes and structural proteins), there would be no life on earth.

Each of these proteins is comprised of twenty (20) amino acids.  However, as with other mammals, humans can only produce eleven (11) of these amino acids.  The remaining nine (9) amino acids must be obtained from the “food chain.”  Consequently, the vulnerability of the “food chain” resides in these 9 essential amino acids, described here as Power Amino Acids™ because they confer power-packed advantages to the body.

When dietary protein intake is deficient, the body has difficulty in producing the positive-charged proteins.  Dr. Scheele’s longstanding research on experimental animals in the 1980s and 1990s showed that within 10 days of feeding animals protein deficient diets, positive-charged proteins were diminished by up to 95% at a time when little of no decreases were observed in negative-charged proteins.  The loss of positive-charged proteins during the early phases of protein deficiency was further associated with significant weight gains in the experimental animals.  The loss of positive charged proteins observed in the animals indicated the vulnerability of the “food chain” in daily life and underscored the importance of “Protein Deficiency Syndrome” in the early stages of protein deficiency associated with unwanted weight gains.

Furthermore, when Power Amino Acids™ were increased in the diet, Dr. Scheele found that they could correct the positive-charged markers of “Protein Deficiency Syndrome” as well as the unwanted weight gains.

The importance of protein health and the role of Protein Deficiency Syndrome in overweight disorders and obesity are discussed in greater detail on the website under “The Science/Importance of Protein Health.”
